Moza Banco promoted financial literacy activities at schools in Maputo, Matola and Pemba on 28 October, as part of its commemoration of World Savings Day. The initiative included performances of the theatrical production 'Saber Sonhar o Amanhã' ('Learning to Dream of Tomorrow'), lectures on financial management, and the distribution of school supplies, with the aim of raising pupils' awareness of the importance of saving and the responsible use of resources.

According to a statement from the bank, the initiative sought to link culture with financial education, using theatre and audience interaction to encourage reflection on how present-day decisions can shape the realisation of future goals.

'The choice of theatre allows us to address these topics beyond concepts and numbers. The stories, the actors' performances and the contact with the audience offer a language that is close to students, creating space to discuss the value of available resources and the importance of managing them responsibly,' the statement reads.

The play 'Saber Sonhar o Amanhã' aimed to convey the importance of developing savings habits and making conscious financial decisions from an early age, illustrating how the responsible management of resources can contribute to achieving future objectives.

In Pemba, the Escola Primária Completa Unidade 1 hosted a financial literacy lecture accompanied by the distribution of 100 school supply kits. The event was attended by Moza Banco's Northern Regional Director and combined guidance on saving with support for learning.

The activities form part of the bank's 'Sonhar o Amanhã' programme, launched in 2023, which pairs the distribution of school and educational materials with awareness initiatives focused on saving, financial management and sustainability.
