Communications agency GOLO claimed four Agency of the Year titles in 2026 across competitions held in Portugal, Angola and Mozambique, accumulating more than 70 awards for campaigns developed for a range of brands and institutions. The distinctions span advertising, marketing, digital communications and innovation.

According to a statement from the agency, among the leading recognitions were the Prémios Lusófonos da Criatividade, where GOLO was named Agency of the Year for work developed for brands and institutions including BCI, Txilar, Compal, Hyundai, BMW, Mazda, Vumba, the Red Cross and the Maputo National Park.

At that competition, the campaign "Surf For Life" won a Grand Prix, a Gold and a Silver, while the piece "Paz é Onde a Natureza se Encontra", created for the Maputo National Park, received a Gold award.

At FESTIPUB Angola 2026, held on 23 October in Luanda, GOLO took home three distinctions: Agency of the Year, Media Agency of the Year and Digital Agency of the Year for Mozambique. BCI's campaign "Lugares Daqui" was named Mozambique's Campaign of the Year, while Txilar's "Desce Numa Boa", Vumba's "Natural de Moçambique" and Compal's "Gigi" also received awards. Txilar additionally claimed the title of Mozambique Brand of the Year.

In the Mozambican market, the agency also received the Best Marketing Agency award at the COMARP Awards and was recognised by PMR Africa in the categories of advertising, marketing and innovation, further consolidating, according to the institution, its position among the most awarded agencies in the country.

"The 2026 balance sheet stands out for the diversity of brands, campaigns and disciplines recognised, spanning advertising, creative strategy, audiovisual production, institutional communications, social media and innovation," the statement said.

Founded in 1957, GOLO is preparing to mark its 70th anniversary in May 2027, beginning the celebrations after a year marked by numerous national and international distinctions.
