Mozambique’s Autoridade Nacional de Estradas (ANE) has launched an international public tender for the rehabilitation of 88 kilometres of the N1 Corridor, between Chimuara and Nicoadala in Zambezia Province, under the Mozambican Safer Roads for Socio-Economic Integration Programme.

The project follows a Design and Build methodology, consolidating design and construction responsibilities under a single contractor. The approach is intended to streamline delivery and accountability across the full scope of works.

Qualified contractors are invited to submit proposals through the official tenders portal no later than 10 December 2026, at 10:00. The procurement process is open to eligible firms and is governed by international standards of transparency and competition.
