The Mozambique Beer Expo returns to Maputo on 24 October, opening at 12h00 at Repinga, with a programme combining beer tastings, gastronomy, live music and interactive experiences. The initiative aims to promote the brewing industry, stimulate tourism and boost the local economy.
According to a statement issued by the organisers, the event will feature beer tastings, themed games, leisure areas and activities designed to give attendees insight into the beverage production process. Musical entertainment will be provided by several DJs and by the group Cadê o Samba, which will perform a samba circle.
The programme opens on Friday, 23 October, with Industry Day, held as part of the Maputo Fast Forward Festival at the JFS Corporate Tower in Baixa de Maputo. The gathering will bring together brand representatives and industry executives to debate the challenges, innovation and growth opportunities facing the brewing sector in Mozambique.
This year’s edition adopts an open-air social format, seeking to bring together producers, sector professionals and consumers in a single setting.
The Mozambique Beer Expo is organised by the Maputo Municipal Council, the National Agency for Tourism Development and Investment (ANDITUR), Revista Xonguila, Malta do Vinho and the Connoisseur Prestige Club, with production by Arena Eventos.
According to the organisers, the event also aims to reinforce Maputo’s appeal as a tourist destination and to contribute to economic activity in the food and beverage, retail and services sectors.
Tickets are available on the TaBater platform.
