Mozambique Airports (ADM) has issued a communiqué informing the public that, on Tuesday, 3 November 2026, at 06:05, during a routine inspection, a fault was detected in the water supply system located in the Chamanculo neighbourhood in Maputo.

“As a result of this incident, the water supply to Maputo International Airport is partially restricted, with facilities operating at only minimum levels of water delivery. This may cause temporary disruption to some services,” reads the note.

Mozambique Airports says it is monitoring the situation in coordination with the relevant authorities, with a view to restoring normal water supply as soon as possible.

ADM also regrets any inconvenience caused and thanks passengers, users and partners of Maputo International Airport for their understanding and cooperation.
