CR20G Mozambique, a subsidiary of China Railway 20 Bureau Group Corporation, completed construction of the main structure of the coal-crushing building for the Vulcan IPCC (In-Pit Crushing & Conveying) Project on Tuesday, 27 October. Completion of this stage clears the way for the installation of electromechanical equipment and system commissioning tests.

The building is a key part of the project’s coal-handling system, supporting storage, crushing and transport operations. Construction involved complex technical procedures, strict structural standards and quality control, while several activities were carried out simultaneously.

According to information released by the company, the work involved activity planning, resource management and the implementation of safety and quality control measures. The structure was completed on schedule, allowing the project to move on to the next phase.

More than 500 Mozambican workers were also employed during the project and received technical training and practical instruction. The initiative contributed to job creation, increased incomes and the development of local professional skills.

With the main structure of the coal-crushing building complete, the Vulcan IPCC Project is now moving into the electromechanical equipment installation phase. The project team plans to continue the work while maintaining safety measures and quality control procedures as construction progresses.
