Zambézia province has taken another step towards developing aquaculture with the inauguration of a fingerling production centre in Namacata administrative post, Nicoadala district. The facility, the result of private investment, has the capacity to produce more than 10 million fingerlings a year.

The facility was inaugurated on Monday (26) by Zambézia Governor Pio Augusto Matos. It aims to improve fish farmers’ access to fingerlings for raising fish in tanks, benefiting producers in Nicoadala and other districts of the province.
