Direct flights between Nacala, in northern Mozambique, and Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian capital, will begin on Tuesday, with Ethiopian Airlines operating the route three times a week.

The launch of this service represents a step forward in strengthening Mozambique’s air connectivity with international markets, creating new opportunities to attract investment, facilitate trade and boost tourism in the country’s northern region.

In a statement, the Government, through the Ministry of Transport and Logistics, reiterated its commitment to continuing to promote new international routes to boost regional integration and the economic competitiveness of national infrastructure.
