Mozambique: Cabo Delgado showcases mineral potential at Nacala Annual Gemstone Fair FAGENA – Photos

Cabo Delgado Province is showcasing its mineral potential at the Nacala Annual Gemstone Fair (FAGENA 2026) in Nacala-Porto, Nampula province, on Thursday, 22 October 2026, at a ceremony attended by Governor Valige Tauabo.

At its exhibition stand, Cabo Delgado is displaying samples of rubies, sapphires, tourmalines, aquamarine, gold, garnets, agates, spinel, marble, limestone, mica and heavy mineral sands, demonstrating the diversity of the province’s mineral resources.

Cabo Delgado province’s participation in FAGENA 2026 aims to promote investment opportunities and encourage the local processing of mineral resources, contributing to job creation and economic development.

FAGENA 2026 is part of the Week of the Conference on Adding Value to Available Mineral and Energy Resources (CAVAME-d 2026), taking place from 19 to 24 October under the theme “Transforming Resources, Creating Opportunities and Value for Mozambique”. The event brings together investors, representatives of public and private institutions, and other participants.
