Wall Street closed Friday's session in negative territory, with the Nasdaq declining more than 2.86% as disappointing quarterly earnings from Amazon and Intel weighed heavily on technology stocks.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 1.09% to close at 51,771.14 points, while the S&P 500 retreated 1.82% to 7,579.86 points. The technology-focused Nasdaq slid 2.86% to end the session at 25,437.00 points.
Losses on Wall Street were led by the Nasdaq, which came under pressure from sharp declines in Amazon and Intel shares after both companies delivered quarterly results that fell short of market expectations.
On a monthly basis, the Dow Jones is on course to post a gain of 1.69% for November, while the S&P 500 is down 0.9% and the Nasdaq has shed 5.3% over the same period.
