Fidelidade Ímpar participated in the 18th edition of the Pitch Bootcamp in Maputo as the initiative’s Official Sponsor, delivering an insurance literacy session to approximately 100 students preparing to enter the job market.
According to a statement from the insurer, the session was led by Fidelidade Ímpar’s Chief Executive, Vítor Bandeira, who explained the origins of insurance, how it works, and the importance of financial protection at the start of a professional career. The presentation also addressed the risks that young people should consider protecting themselves against, and the role they can play as future leaders and decision-makers.
“Investing in these young people is investing in the future of Mozambique. We want to be by their side at the moment when everything begins, so that they take their first professional step with the confidence and certainty that the future can also be protected. If each one leaves here better prepared and more self-assured, we will have fulfilled our role,” said Vítor Bandeira.
Fidelidade Ímpar’s involvement in the programme stems from a collaboration developed over several years, marked by the engagement of its staff. The company said the formalisation of the sponsorship is intended to reinforce its commitment to youth empowerment and human capital development in Mozambique.
The Pitch Bootcamp is an initiative designed to help young people identify and build on their skills, understand the demands of the labour market, and establish contacts with professionals and companies, thereby easing the transition from academic training to first employment.
Fidelidade Ímpar’s support for the programme is part of a broader set of initiatives the insurer directs towards youth and communities, including the Prémio Fidelidade Ímpar Comunidade and support for the Girl Move organisation in Nampula. The company views the promotion of insurance literacy and skills development as essential to preparing young people for the challenges of professional life.
