Traffic on the bridge over the Natete River, on the N13 road in Ribáuè District, Nampula Province, will be restricted and interrupted between 3 and 7 November to allow repair work to be carried out on the infrastructure.
According to a press release issued by the National Roads Administration (ANE) in Nampula, traffic will be completely suspended on 5 and 6 November, from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., to allow damaged panels and bridge decking to be replaced, as well as new safety features to be installed.
The document identifies an alternative route to ensure the continuity of traffic and minimise disruption. It runs from the Namigonha junction, via Iapala, and reconnects with the N13 road near the bridge over the Thi Thi River.
To preserve the road infrastructure and ensure everyone’s safety, ANE appeals for road users’ cooperation and recommends strict compliance with load limits, temporary traffic signs and the instructions issued by the authorities.
