Wall Street closed in negative territory on Thursday (29), with the Nasdaq leading losses across all three major indices.

The Dow Jones fell 0.25% to 52,342.56 points, the S&P 500 retreated 0.31% to 7,720.22 points, and the technology-heavy Nasdaq dropped 1.38% to 26,184.72 points.

Markets came under pressure from Alphabet, whose shares declined sharply after the company’s quarterly results disappointed investors.

Alphabet’s stock lost 12.6% following the disclosure of a negative cash flow. The company also failed to meet revenue and profit targets for the first time in nearly four years.
