Millennium bim and Cofre dos Tribunais formalised an institutional partnership on 12 October to offer banking products and services tailored to the needs of professionals across Mozambique's national judiciary system, the bank announced in a statement.

According to the document, the agreement covers Cofre dos Tribunais, the Supreme Court, the Superior Courts, the Courts of Specialised Jurisdiction, and the Judicial Courts. "Under the agreement, civil servants at these institutions who choose to have their salaries paid into a Millennium bim account will gain access to a banking offer structured around the characteristics and needs of this professional community," the statement reads.

The agreement was signed by Rui Pedro, Chair of the Executive Committee of Millennium bim, and Januário da Costa Valente, Executive Director of the bank. Representing Cofre dos Tribunais was the President of the Administrative Council, Judge Matilde Augusto Monjane Maltez de Almeida.

At the signing ceremony, Rui Pedro underscored the importance of understanding the specific needs of each professional segment in order to develop appropriate financial solutions.

"Knowing each segment allows us to develop more suitable solutions and provide a service that accompanies clients at different stages of their lives. This partnership, which is a great honour for us, gives us the opportunity to better understand the needs of these professionals and to present them with a clear, useful offering tailored to their projects," he said.

The partnership forms part of Millennium bim's broader strategy to strengthen relationships with institutions and diverse professional segments, bringing its banking products and services closer to clients and seeking to respond more effectively to their financial needs.
